A home nurse shows up at Homicide South and reports a confession to NYPD Detective Darlene O'Hara. Gus Henderson, a former junkie suffering from Alzheimer's, claims that 17 years ago, he murdered his partner and buried him in a park on Avenue B. When the police reluctantly agree to excavate, they find a body—just not the one they were looking for.
The cops unearth the skeleton of a young boy, neatly dressed and buried ceremoniously. O'Hara must now find the murderer of a child, and the trail leads from the seediest corners of the city to a sleepy retirement community in Florida.
Driving headlong into the urban underbelly, O'Hara uncovers a criminal tribe who preys only on the weak, but can she stop the cycle before another child is lost?

Praise for Buried on Avenue B LP…
“De Jonge’s cop humor is true to life and the crime is true to the city. He also does sweet justice to New York, evoking the LES of 30 years ago as his cops work its latter-day streets.”
